Salakos is at the corssroads of many of the island’s roads making it an ideal location from which to reach all of Rhode’s favourite attractions. Diagoras International Airport is only 23kms away, Rhodes Old Twon 41kms, and famous Lindos Village is 48 kms away. The popular holiday resorts of Faliraki, Kolympia and Afandou are a pleasant 45 minute drive and Kalithea Springs is 43 kms away.
Nearer to Salakos the beaches of Kamiros, Kalavarda, and Sorini are only 10-15 minutes by car, some baosting the best kite surfing conditions, while others are ideal for sunbathing on free sunbeds, providing you buy a coffee or water from the beach front waiter. TheAncient Kamiors archeological site is 7.4kms away, and Kritinia Castle 26kms, and many of the other mountain villages such as the tourist village of Embona are only a short drive.
